I have the same problem. I download kubuntu-beta-9.10-amd64 Then execute sudo aptitude update&& sudo aptitude upgrade and install nvidia driver 185 from jockey. After restart i have only blink cursor on black screen. I also try install nvidia driver by execute sudo aptitude install nvidia-glx-185. I see errors dkms build modules.
