Hi all, I have the same issue. Somehow the virtualbox are not loaded at boot time. Starting the initscript fixes the problem for me.
$ sudo invoke-rc.d virtualbox-ose start I don't understand why it is not started during the boot process. $ ll /etc/rc2.d/*virtualbox-ose lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 24 2009-09-05 21:05 /etc/rc2.d/S01virtualbox-ose -> ../init.d/virtualbox-ose $ tail -n1 /etc/default/virtualbox-ose LOAD_VBOXDRV_MODULE=1 I strongly suspect a problem with the new upstart/sysv-rc system and not with virtualbox-ose especially as it seems that other initscripts are not executed (like ondemand). ** Attachment added: "bootchart (virtualbox-ose, ondemand, etc are missing)" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/33608816/cyril-laptop-karmic-20091013-2.svgz -- Virtual Machine Won't Start - Kernel driver not installed https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/449936 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
