@ Andy Whitcroft: first of all; I made some testing with the current kernel. (Ubuntu 2.6.31-13.45-generic) I think this problem could be a HP BIOS Bug or sth similar. (long description: After I filed this bug, I tried to restart the notebook and after shutdown I saw the HP-Bios logo. Then the screen goes black and hangs forever. I made a "hard-poweroff", unplugged all wires, removed the battery, pressed the powerbutton (to make it currentless), and then I reversed everything and booted karmic again. ) Now, its working again. But to be 100% sure I will make more tests.
