Ubuntu Karmic Beta 2.6.31-13-generic ipod 3rd generation silver 4gb The device is mounted correctly and it is possible to browse the contents with nautilus I've tried to see this ipod with these GTK apps: gtkpod hipo exaile banshee None of them are able to see the device; I've installed amarok 1.4 from PPA (Jaunty version) and it works pretty well Open this thread on Ubuntuforums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1290043 Executing podsleuth with mounted ipod the output is: No iPods were found in the HAL device tree I have the suspect that hal and gtk have some wrong info about the device.
