Public bug reported: Binary package hint: hal
It seems that hal and devkit-disk conflict when they both want to mount the external USB storage. After I removed /usr/share/hal/fdi/policy/10osvendor/20-storage- methods.fdi and restart the HAL service, the external USB storage can be auto mounted correctly!
