Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: software-center

When installing new software, updating sources etc. the "In progress" tab(?)
does not display much useful information. It just tells me it is downloading
*something*.There isn't any obvious way to get information on what it is
actually doing.
As an example i've recently added a ppa and aftewards it started "Downloading"
the new user may not understand that it is updating the softare list. It does
give the impression that the app is doing things that it is not asked to do(to
the unknowing user). Some more info onscreen would be appreciated as well as
Details option..
