Thanks for the response - unfortunately, I have ceased developing a Platform practice on Ubuntu due to this error. Development is substantially completed on Red Hat under Vmware. Sorry it's taking so long to be noticed. Can you confirm what version of Ubuntu you were trying to install? Are you in a position to replicate? Were you using a pressed/Shipit cd, home burned or a mounted ISO though VMware?
