The problem is that cryptsetup isn't guaranteed to be installed, and upstart doesn't give a straightforward way for gdm to wait on cryptsetup if it's installed but ignore it otherwise. Scott, do you have any thoughts on how to fix this, given that cryptsetup does need to be able to prompt? Should we assume that any disks that cryptsetup hasn't had a chance to set up by the time the DM starts aren't going to be set up at the console anyway, and leave it to users to set them up by hand...? (cryptdisks-enable -> stop on starting-dm) I wonder if there's a bug in the cryptsetup job anyway, that it's running so late for people.
