i know. it is the same for me too. however, when i checked with phoenix bios directly, they seem to have an upgrade. sadly, acer hasn't released this in their download site. looks like it is a paid upgrade..
however, as i said earlier, linux mint worked fine with my laptop. had none of these issues, which tells me that ubuntu can be corrected as well. i am no ubuntu guru and hope someone in this forum will help us out.
