Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

I installs deb-packages that were previously downloaded to the HDD via
Firefox or Opera. Do not install, programm GDEBI-GTK wrote about the
error: "dgkg: unable to read filedescription flags for <package status
and progress file descriptor>: bad file descriptor". Test it in
the mode of Live CD (Ubuntu 9.10 beta). The HDD partitions are 3ext and
Ubuntu 8.10, and "home"-partition and Ubuntu 9.10 Live CD. Formerly
with Ubuntu 9.10 Alfa I could do this. Reboot and correct exit from the
operating system does not solve the problem. Error detected in both
English and Russian versions of Ubuntu 9.10 beta.
