Public bug reported:

Using latest fglrx drivers for ATI, and the Beryl Release Candidate, and
beryl-manager set to as a boot command- a crash is detected by Edgy, but
manager stays 'alive'.

Beryl will not take over as windows manager unless the following command is 
given in the terminal:
LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/fglrx/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa /usr/bin/beryl
