Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-media

I need to set Multimedia Systems Selector > Audio > Default Input >
(Plugin:=PulseAudio SoundServer) > Device=Unknown in order that Ubuntu will
capture sound from my USB web cam's built-in microphone.
The name »Unknown« is an unsuitable name for this microphone device. So much
more as there are another two »Unknown« devices in the the same drop-down list.
'~$ uname -a; Linux T43 2.6.31-11-generic #38-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 2 11:55:55 UTC
2009 i686 GNU/Linux'
gnome-media version 2.28.0-0ubuntu1
I expect to see a meaningful name for the microphone of my USB web cam.
Instead I see "Unknown".
