Looks to me like the Rhythmbox encoding profiles are all screwed up. Under the preferred format dropdown box m4a, mp2, mp3, spx and wav are listed as formats, but not flac. in the 'edit' dialouge, flac has an empty encoding profile. ogg is MIA.
