Also I'm testing Jaunty with Kernel 2.6.31 from Ubuntu from http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/l/linux/ Since some weeks ago I have this kernel version working really better on my laptop and I have no problems with ACPI and power battery status actually. Also with kernel 2.6.31 I have no problems with slowness, all the system works stable and fast in my laptop.
