What's the relation between the two videos posted in this bug report? http://www.youtube.com/user/slsolaris#p/u/6/UU7aNOaUZfE (blurry recording of flashing pidgin window)
and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UU7aNOaUZfE (recording of very old version of notify-osd) Regarding the second video, which actually shows notify-osd, that's showing a very old version of notify-osd without the blur-cache. The throbbing (glowing) effect for overshooting the volume-setting is improved in the upstream and karmic version of notify-osd, due to the blur-cache. Please update to a more current version (notify-osd 0.9.23) either via synaptic or if you are comfortable with it via bzr and compiling notify-osd trunk yourself. ** Changed in: notify-osd (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) => Mirco Müller (macslow) ** Changed in: notify-osd (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: notify-osd (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Changed in: notify-osd (Ubuntu) Milestone: None => ubuntu-9.10 -- notify-osd glow effect should be displayed once https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/446003 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
