Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pm-utils
Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) Have tried fresh install. MSI Wind (U100) both suspend and hibernate do nothing other than disconnect wifi for approx 30 seconds. (then it automatically reconnects) On 9.04 both work perfectly on the same machine. Not sure if this is related in any way, but when you start Ubuntu on the pc, the display brightness icon comes up in the top right corner and toggles back and forth continuously with the screen also going bright/dark. This continues until you use the function keys to turn the brightness all the way down. You can then adjust the brightness back up to the desired level.
