I tried 2.6.31-12 and it hang the second time when I booted without any options. Adding "nousb" seems not to help. It halted with the message sata_sil24 0000:20:00.0 PCI INT A -> GSI (level, low) -> IRQ 19
Don't know if it matters: The last message before the system hangs is always IRQ related, most of the time SATA or ATA related.
