Public bug reported: Binary package hint: samba
It seems this version has a bug that appears sometimes when saving a file provoking the file deletion (tough I don't know whether this deletion is made by samba or by the client program). This is the error messages logged on the server (/var/log/samba/log.client_name): [2007/02/13 13:38:39, 1] smbd/service.c:make_connection_snum(693) pcp (192.168.1.39) connect to service data initially as user nobody (uid=65534, gid=100) (pid 4394) [2007/02/13 13:38:44, 1] smbd/service.c:close_cnum(890) pcp (192.168.1.39) closed connection to service data [2007/02/13 15:46:38, 0] smbd/open.c:open_file_ntcreate(1342) Trying to delay for oplocks twice [2007/02/13 15:46:38, 1] smbd/service.c:close_cnum(890) pcp (192.168.1.39) closed connection to service data [2007/02/13 15:46:38, 0] lib/util_sock.c:write_data(557) write_data: write failure in writing to client 192.168.1.39.
