No Alex, (a) since I installed "powernowd" I don't see this problem anymore. 
(b) I thought of the machine being hot and the graphics chip being damaged or 
so. So I just launched Mac-OS to see if there is something strange. Nothing, 
all works fine.

It makes me think it has something to do with frequency scaling
management (cpufreqd, cpudyn).
