I have a Dell Latitude E5400 laptop with Intel Mobile 4 Chipset. I am running Karmic beta and last update was at 1pm EST today, oct 5. I have, and have had, the same issue. For me it looks like the offset is larger then 42pixels. The rotation and offset work fine when I disable the second monitor. It only happens with dual monitors. Also, the whole display shifts up the amount of the offset. So the top N pixels (if N is the size of offset) are displayed on the bottom of the screen. This is a show stopping bug for me, as this is the first linux based system I intend to deploy in the company. I would hate for Linux to be rejected b/c of this bug and have to go back to windows. Is there any timeline when the bug might get fixed? Is it a must to fix it by RC1 release? What about final release? Thanks for everyones help.
