Public bug reported: Binary package hint: ubiquity
I'm installing on an Acer Aspire 1353XC, with a 4.2GB Windows partition at the beginning of the drive (sda1), a 7.8GB section of free space followed by another 8GB Windows partition (sda2). On the partitioning step of the installer I told it to use the largest continuous free space, then carried on to the end of the installer. Then I click Install, to tell it to proceed with the partitioning and installing, the installer window closes, another window opens then immediately closes. I would guess the the partitioner doesn't like that it is being asked to create partitions out of order, but it should be able to handle this.
