In my case, if the Headphone ALSA mixer option is turned on, the notebook speakers will play music even when the external headphones are connected. If I try to mute the Headphone ALSA setting, entire PulseAudio gets muted. If I un-mute the PulseAudio the Headphone ALSA mixer option is turned back on. Is there a way to mute the Headphone mixer setting without muting the PulseAudio itself?
