I had this issue on the last alpha, and just burned a CD with the newest
beta released today and can confirm that this issue is still present in
a fresh install of the "Oct 1 beta release". I also have no grub menu as
a previous poster mentioned, and also find that it automatically boots
the default entry.

My partition tables:

Device Boot Start End Blocks ID System
/dev/sda1 * 1 30394 244139773+ fd Linux
raid autodetect
/dev/sdb1 * 1 30394 244139773+ fd Linux
raid autodetect

/dev/md0 is setup as raid 1 usng /dev/sd{a,b}1
LVM is setup as vol0 on /dev/md0 with /dev/vol0/root as '/' and /dev/vol0/swap
as 'swap'
