Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: debian-installer

I did an install of feisty-server with media from 10-feb 2007.
The install broke when trying to assemble pre-existing raid volumes,
it complained about "/dev/md/6" not being available.

The problem seems to be that for pre-existing raid arrays the devices in
/dev/md/
arent created (the /dev/mdX devices are available), which breaks the installer.

A simple workaround is to create the symlinks by hand via the shell on console
2,
which allows the install to complete.

** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
