Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

"<em...@example.com>" trimmed to ">"

Virtually every Adium theme has such bug:

Steps:

Try to sent "<t...@email.com>" and you'll see only ">"
Buddy receives as expected "<t...@email.com>".
The same bug occurs if someone sends you "<t...@email.com>".

Everything ok with every theme itself (checked on Adium).
Everything ok with default Empathy theme.
I can see "<t...@email.com>" in logs and system notification bubbles.
