I wanted to go in internet with WLAN on recovery mode. I tried in a way like 
written in http://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/WLAN/wpa_supplicant. That works in jaunty 
on the other partition, but not in karmic.
Atheros Communications Inc. AR2413 802.11bg NIC with ath5k.

In karmic WLAN works with nm-applet in gnome, but not in recovery mode
with wpa_supplicant.
