Hmm. That part works as well. But replacing the IP with the netbios name (jldugger) fails, even though the browser clearly displays both computers. This works fine on windows, so I doubt it's the router. It won't work in edgy, due to a known bug. I don't seem to have a Dapper CD on hand, so I can't test that out immediately.
Obviously using the ip is a workaround, but I don't think the router gives IPs assoicatively with MACs. And it won't work well for computers I don't already know the IP of, though I suspect there's a command line tool for the job.
