The categories are useful much more for finding new software to install,
than for choosing software to remove. And it would encourage confusion
if the layout of the main "Installed Software" screen was the same as
that of the "Get Free Software" section: more people would think they
were choosing software to install when they were not.

So the specification currently says
<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter#%E2%80%9CInstalled%20Software%E2%80%9D%20section>
that the "Installed Software" section should be grouped by category, but
with tree items in the single list, rather than the department-only
display used by the "Get Free Software" section. Does that count as the
"same categorising method" to you? If so, we could use this bug report
to track implementation of that categorization. If not, I think this
report should be marked Invalid.
