I experience the problem with the upstream Firefox versions. It slows down the computer, not only Firefox... I do not use Ubuntu's firefox so I don't know if it is effected (though there are comments at upstream that it is?) so I didn't report it here.
For now, upstream is saying that this may be due to bad handling of transparent png and transferring workload to cpu. ** Bug watch added: Mozilla Bugzilla #328319 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328319 ** Also affects: firefox (upstream) via https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328319 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- Digg.com slows down the browser https://launchpad.net/bugs/81858 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
