Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apport
The page https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs says "Using the command apport-cli -f -p <package name> on the target system will collect information and provide you with an option to "K: Keep report file for sending later or copying to somewhere else". The report is then saved on the target system, in your /tmp directory which is cleared out on reboot, with a .apport extension." BUT the following typescript shows the specified command doesn't write any file to /tmp nor does it right any file with an .apport extension. r...@tux:~# apport-cli -f -p italc-master *** Collecting problem information The collected information can be sent to the developers to improve the application.
