Installed the 2.6.30 mainline kernel and have not had issues so far,
tried a single 9GB filetransfer which ran at about 60MB/s average. Did
this both from and to the server using SMB. Jaunty did not boot properly
with the 2.6.31 kernel on my board, so I could not test it as well,
probably due to the videocard driver conflicting with the new kernel
which requires the new intel driver model. The 2.6.28-15 kernel still
has this issue, confirmed with all Jaunty updates up until today
installed.

I am running an Intel D945GSEJT Mini-ITX board with Intel Atom N270 and Realtek
Gigabit controller, lspci lists it as
01:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI
Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 03)
