Some more info, not sure if this warrants a new bug, but here goes. The 3g GSM connection is still working perfectly, unless I go to edit the Mobile Broadband connection and choose to make this connection "available to all users." At that point, I am disconnected from the GSM network and the following error appears in terminal (after previously running nm-applet from there): ** (nm-applet:2801): DEBUG: applet_common_device_state_changed
Choosing the option to Connect Automatically works fine.
