Thanks for the warning and information, and link to the upstream bug. Did you upgrade to a newer version of gramps in the Karmic release? Or did you replace an Ubuntu package with an "upstream" package directly from the Gramps project?
If the latter, note that it is always unsupported (by Ubuntu) and risky to install a non-Ubuntu package on top of an Ubuntu package. Folks that would be affected by that should track it at the gramps project bug tracker, which you've already referred to. Note that Gramps 3.1.2 is in Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic) which is due for release in October 2009. I would hope that an upgrade to Karmic would work, but I haven't tried it. Testing of that upgrade process would be very much appreciated. -- Overwrite process with .deb on upgrade (Hardy-backports) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/388815 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
