Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Following is a log obtained by doing exactly these steps: 1) sudo killall pulseaudio #to ensure it is not running already 2) pulseaudio --log-level=debug 3) Open System>Preferences>Sound #gnome-sound-properties from the CLI, but I did it via GUI 4) Sound Events> Sound playback: Already set to "autodetect", I did not touch it 5) Press "Test" and leave running for around 2 seconds 6) Stop "Test" #Test ran perfectly fine, other than no sound actually playing. No errors reported on that end. 7) Close pulseaudio via ctrl+c Here is the output: pulseaudio --log-level=debug I: caps.c: Limited capabilities successfully to CAP_SYS_NICE.
