Public bug reported: I have Ubuntu Karmic Daily-Live Sept 22 installed ( from karmic- desktop-i386.iso ) on Toshiba laptop with Atheros AR 5211 ab NIC.
It does connect to wired / WPA/WPA2 secured wireless network but not to an unsecured wireless network. It tries to connect for 2/3 minutes and then says (unsecured) wireless network has disconnected. Just updated (5:00 AM Pacific Sept 22, '09) using wired network but to no avail.
