As I said, "Compiling from upstream totem 2.28 gives the expected result". That is, this : http://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/GNOME/sources/totem/2.28/ I also tried using the .orig.tar.gz provided with the ubuntu package, it also worked. I could not work out how to apply the ubuntu patches to try and see if one caused the bug, though. Am I the only one with this problem ?
