The jfs.ko module is built for Karmic.  The problem is that it may not
be in the initramfs (initrd) where it belongs.  Please verify that
/lib/modules has the module and also check your default initrd to see if
it is there as well.  If it is in both places, see if you can get a
console trace and attach it to the bug.  BTW, the initrd is a gzip
compressed cpio archive.  Uncompress it and and look in the TOC.
