I'm running Jaunty on a new Dell XPS laptop. My brother bought the same
laptop and he is running Open Suse. He has great sound. So it's not
problematic on all Linux distributions.

Why I am having to browse through hundreds of pages on the internet and
this issue is marked as new? I'm reading postings on Ubuntu sound
problems from November of 2005! This is a very old problem and David
Henningsson just wrote that there are a lot of problems with Ubuntu
sound. This isn't new. So; why is it marked new?

Give us a straight answer and please stop lying to us. It makes you look
bad. BTW your hyper-links for help don't work. I still have hardly any
volume.

Any other ideas? How about marking this as confirmed and critical. That
might help. Duh!
