Public bug reported: Ubuntu 9.10 alphas 5 and 6 (and also in Ubuntu 9.04), 64-bit Klipper, v0.9.7 (KDE 4.3.1) being used with standard Ubuntu Gnome desktop
Highlighted text (with mouse) sometimes does not appear in the clipboard history displayed in Klipper, and therefore this text cannot be pasted (middle-click paste desired, but C-p doesn't work, either). I have not found it possible to tell why it works sometimes and does not work other times. An example would be highlighting some text in Firefox to use as a title when saving a web-page. This behavior is a _regression_ - highlight and middle-click worked fine in Ibex, then degraded in Jaunty, such that I had to try to use the very defective Glipper. Current behavior in 9.10 alpha 6 is that if highlighted text does not appear in Klipper, highlighting same text a second time will cause it to appear and be available for middle-click pasting. In general, highlighting into system clipboards seems to be breaking (i.e. works only sometimes, unpredictably) in Gnome in recent Ubuntus. May have some similarities to bugs #311251, 380907 (though I do not fully get the latter's description). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- klipper - highlighting text sometimes does not appear in Klipper https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/433222 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
