I don't see anything suspicious in Xorg.0.log. It looks like xorg itself starts fine, but that the programs that that is spawned then has problems. According to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dbus there has been a lot of updates to dbus over the last days (and also to gdm). Has anything changed over the last days? Maybe you can try to downgrade to 1.2.16-0ubuntu2.
