Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mountall
After this morning's upgrade, my machine did not boot anymore, stopping after cryptdisk-early ( which showed [ OK ] ) without any messages. After a thorough remote examination, cjwatson (star!) determined that mountall was being confused by LVM fstab entries of the form: /dev/VolumeGroup/LogicalVolume Once all those entries had been changed into the form: /dev/mapper/VolumeGroup-LogicalVolume the boot did not get stuck anymore, and all was well with the world. ;-) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Sep 18 19:07:01 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx Package: mountall 0.1.6 ProcEnviron: SHELL=/bin/bash PATH=(custom, user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-10.34-generic SourcePackage: mountall Uname: Linux 2.6.31-10-generic i686 ** Affects: mountall (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 -- mountall gets confused by LVM fstab entries not starting with /dev/mapper/ https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/432613 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
