Okay I upgraded to the latest 2:8.660-0ubuntu1 in Synaptic by adding karmic repositories to my sources file, but now I still get the same problem when I install the 9.8 drivers... blue/green login screen glitch and "low graphics mode."
Are there any other packages from karmic that I need to upgrade to? Perhaps the new Xorg or something?
