Public bug reported: Trying to make Glipper appear on upper panel of Gnome desktop causes following errors to appear:
Error The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:Glipper" Do you want to delete teh applet from your configuration? Don't Delete Delete Choosing either seems to be irrelevant - no change is seen if it is tried again after either. Then: Problem in glipper The problem cannot be reported: You have some obsolete package versions installed. Please upgrade the following packages and check if the problem still occurs: libglib2.0-0, libpulse-mainloop-glib0, libpulse0, libpython2.6, python2.6, python2.6-minimal However, all these packages were updated yesterday, and I haven't been able to put Glipper on panel at all since OS installation. Seems similar to Glipper instability seen in 9.04, and also perhaps to descriptions in these bugs: #213494, #305070, #395304, #400976, #234410, #38240, #308426 Running fresh install of Ubuntu 9.10 Alpha5, 64-bit, installed 9/12, updated throughout 9/13.
