> connect my ubuntu laptop to an ipsec VPN. Is network-manager- strongswan the correct VPN package
Probably not, the NetworkManager plugin supports IPsec VPNs using the newer IKEv2 protocol. The protocol is currently supported by a few vendors only, > network-manager-strongswan: Depends: strongswan-nm but it is not installable The problem is that strongSwan NetworkManager plugin was in Debian testing, while the reqired strongSwan base packages was not (hence the missing dependency). In the meantime, both are in testing now, but the Debian Import Freeze is over. I suggest to manually import the new Debian source packages network-manager-strongswan and strongswan. -- 9.10: Cannot install strongswan for network manager https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/399643 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
