Public bug reported:

Random keystrokes or mouse clicks, such as scrolling to the top of a man page
or using tab-complete in bash in gnome-terminal, or clicking upper-right x to
close Firefox, triggers burst of (low-frequency) static from computer speakers.
Occurs whether other sound is coming through speakers or not. This is wrong.
Has occurred a dozen or more times in the first 12 hours of use of fresh
install of Karmic alpha 5. OS is installed on the metal (a Shuttle), not in a
VM. Did not EVER happen with Ibex or Jaunty on same machine, only with Karmic.
Description: Ubuntu karmic (development branch)
Release: 9.10

** Affects: ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
