I believe this issue has been addressed in the 8 months since this bug report was issued.
Since upstream is focused on 0.22, any future bug reports would need to be against that version. We have builds of mythtv 0.22 available on a PPA to test. Please follow the directions at http://mythbuntu.org/auto- builds to enable them.
