Ah, then I have misunderstood something at some point. Now I'm not sure if this is worth doing I'd rather use a more generic heuristic (package no longer available, user hasn't used the program for a long time) rather than specific replacement pairs. If we decide to do this, it'd be easy enough to adapt my code: check if both oldpkg and newpkg are installed and if so delete oldpkg.
Or should we have a more stringent check for whether the user prefers Empathy? How would we do that?
