Karmic is still in the beta stage. I won't use it until the final release. The current version is Jaunty. I have installed on 3 notebook (fresh install) the same "send folder redirection bug" occur. e.g. I can redirect the Draft folder without duplicate messages. I must leave the default send folder to avoid duplicate messages. I am astonished this problem does not affect you. The other user on the link above has the same configuration 9.04 and Evolution 2.26.1 with a Gmail IMAP account. Can you confirm/test on 9.04/Ev 2.26.1?
