I have the same problem... The license approval request locked up my terminal and I finally had to close the terminal and kill the process from another terminal. Now dpkg is in a precarious state such that it will neither install nor remove the sun-java5-jre package. I have re- started several times and tried every reasonable aptitude command. Can someone at least tell me how to re-stabilize my ubuntu installation?
