Thanks for the additional info. Could you also please tell us which
language pack version are you using, as requested on comment 2?

The relevant packages are:

  language-pack-kde-es
  language-pack-kde-es-base

Once we've got the version, we can check the source packages in order to
identify the problem. You can even check them yourself, with something
along the lines of:

  apt-get source language-pack-kde-es-base
  cd language-pack-kde-es-base-<yourversion>
  grep -iR "msgstr\[1\] \"%n" data/
  (and the same for language-pack-kde-es)

Having had a look at the Karmic translations in Launchpad, there no
longer seem to be %n strings, so everything seems correct there:
